Functional Tests and Automation
Implementing a collaborative working process requires the use of a common test engine for all company users. Such a test engine (i.e. Mercury Testing Director) must offer interfaces for simulators in order to increase test coverage and/or reduce the amount of time required for verification. Such automation is particularly useful in non-regression testing procedures, such as those used by Mercury’s QTP tool.
We make sure our clients can acquire quality indicators and step-by-step test information.
Once the approach is mastered, we can proceed with the implementation of automatic generation tools for test plans, such as the MBT approach (Model Base Testing procedure).
One of the tools we can offer is the MATELO tool, which is published by ALL4TEC.
The application under test is segmented thanks to the import of a UML model or on a model written using the Matelo Editor, also taking into account usage frequencies or the relative importance of each function. Test cases are then automatically generated in XML, Teststand or TTCN3 format, using a statistical approach.
Optimization of the testing effort is possible through this approach and results in a real increase of productivity and quality. Specifications can also be validated in the very early stage of the project thanks to this procedure.
Particular characteristics found at ALL4TEST include our ability to give our clients advice on their complete set of tools. Thanks to our close relationships with the main providers (HP/Mercury, Compuware, ALL4TEC, Quotium, NI and others), we can also offer our clients the implementation of these tools and the development of interfaces between them in order to offer an integrated solution.
Open source solutions for small businesses are also provided and supported by ALL4TEST. Such solutions are useful for small businesses that need to implement this type of tool without necessary budgeting.
Test Beds
It is often necessary to provide a method to simulate the application or product environment for testing procedures. This is why we also offer our clients the possibility of creating electronic and software test beds, particularly through the use of NI Labview and Teststand tools.
ALL4TEST has implemented load and performance testing operations in order to certify that the application can support the desired load before production. This approach is especially useful in internet, intranet and extranet web applications that are used by many users. Loadrunner, Qtest, Neolod are some of the tools used for this kind of projects.
